The Red Lotus (Nymphaea Pubescens), like the Blue Egyptian Lotus, is actually a Water Lily. The effect of this plant is similar to that of the Blue Egyptian Lotus (see the description of the Blue Lotus), but at least in my experience, unlike the Blue Egyptian Lotus, which clearly affects the 6-7 chakras, this one is felt at the upper Heart Chakra (between the 4th and 5th chakras). This space is the center of Divine love, self-love.

Instructions for Lotus Tea:
Boil a good pinch of flowers in a pot of water until the water boils, then reduce the heat and boil for another 3 minutes. Then let sit until it reaches drinkable temperature
Alternatively, simply pour boiling water into a teapot/large mug and allow the tea to infuse after adding the petals. Drink the cup and you can fill it with hot water 2-3 more times using the same petals.
