Guayusa (Ilex Guayusa) - a wonderful plant from the depths of the Amazon jungle. This plant contains the same amount of caffeine as coffee, as well as theobromine, which works like the active ingredient in cocoa and theophylline, which is found in green tea. It seems with so many stimulating active substances, this plant should be "spiking", like some energy drinks, but in fact it works very evenly and calmly, gives a calm feeling of awakening, allows the mind to work calmly and clearly without any sudden ups and downs of energy.
Traditionally, it is used in tribes for night hunting (that's why it is also called "Night Watchman"), and also in families there is such a daily ritual - they get up early, around 4 in the morning, make this tea and everyone tells each other the dreams of the night while drinking it together. Some lucid dreaming practitioners have adapted this traditional use to their own practices: they also sip this energizing tea while writing a dream journal in the morning, as the tea is also traditionally associated with dreams.
