Dried Mexican Tarragon

Mexican Tarragon (Tagetes lucida) is a plant that can be used in multiple ways. Firstly, it has a very pleasant aroma and somewhat anise-like taste, so it can be used as a seasoning for various soups (it is recommended to use it when the boiling is coming to an end, because if it is boiling too long it can give a bitter taste). The tea was used in ancient Mexico - in Aztec tribes. It has a calming effect, can help with digestive issues as well as with nausea after a night out.

It is very valued for it's shamanic effects: it strengthens all visions - those created by other plants, meditations, shamanic journying as well as intensifying dreams, astral travels. In Mexico it is tradicionally used as one of the spices for ceremonial cacao.

To make a tea: pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 tsp. of the herb. Let it sit for 10 min, strain and drink.
