High quality ceremonial green Matcha (Camellia Sinensis) tea powder grown in Japan

Continuing our search for Linas Matcha after our Basic Chinese version, which Linas didn't like at first, but after a while started to actually quite enjoy, we still tried to order another version, a truly ceremonial quality tea that is many times more expensive. Linas immediately liked this one, so we decided that we should have it at home, at least for rare moments of enjoyment. And at the moment, what we use ourselves, we share with you :)

What is Matcha?

Matcha tea is made from Camellia Sinsensis, the tea plant found in Japan. These leaves are rich in vitamins and minerals. In Japan, the plants are grown in a special way to ensure that the maximum amount of chlorophyll is accumulated in the leaves a month before picking. This is done by temporarily covering the plants with large shade tarps. As a result, amino acids increase in the leaves, further processing of the plant is also interesting.

Multiple levels of Matcha quality

Matcha tea can be divided into several quality levels. We have 2 versions: the Ordinary (Chinese) daily variant and the Ceremonial Japanese version.
Ceremonial Matcha Tea Powder comes from Kagoshima and is one of the highest quality Matcha teas on the market. Ceremonial Matcha tea leaves are harvested only for a certain short period from one specific plantation. Only the best, highest quality leaves are used for ceremonial tea.
